For Sale assume weak name because of previous owner?

There was a dot net that I was watching and it expired. Since the previous owner was that/those infamous CapitolDomains, LLC / Q40HFS.COM / DomainCar person/people, does that mean that the domain name is not worth registering because they seemingly tested it and found it lacking in traffic and buyers?

If they didn't keep it, it means that their calculations suggest they will not make enough
ppc revenue to cover the cost, overhead and profit margin.

If you are only buying it for the potential traffic and revenue, I doubt it will cover
your cost.

As for being a potential buyer for the domain, that can not be calculated in the
algorithm.

Also, there are some seasonality to domains that needs to be considered -
ChristmasPresent, EasterBunny, tulips, etc.

I am often registering names rejected by domaincar aka domibot aka unasi etc.
If you think the domain has potential based on name alone grab it.
You should not expect a lot of traffic but many of my names cover at least reg fee with traffic and revenue.
Traffic can come and go anyway.
The grace period exploited by domaincar et al is only 5 days, which can be enough to test traffic but not enough to find buyers (unless you spam a lot of people of course like webnamesolutions).

If you register expired names based only on their strength as a name and not traffic then this can be a good thing. "Domain tasters" seem to beat out snapnames/pool/enom on a lot of names only to drop them a few days later... this practice is definately out of hand but it has saved me a lot of money.

Give me a break!!!!

Generally, the tasters only have 1, 2, or 3 credentials each. I would speculate
that they only have 15 credentials catching at drops.

Whereas, Enom, Pool and Snapnames have over 500 credentials chasing the
drops.

It is a pure accident if the tasters catch it if the big boys are shooting for it.

Here is an update:

After DomainCar had it for 5 days, it became available for registration for about 21 minutes. Then the infamous KenyaTech people registered it for 5 days and then let it go. The domain name is still available for registration today.
