It was a valiant effort on the part of my programmers, to design, develop and test a live auction system in 7 straight days. Unfortunately 7 days wasn't enough.

The next auction is scheduled for Saturday January 25th at 7:00PM CST. All those that listed their names for tonight's auction will have until then to remove their name(s) from the auction. No additional names can be added until after the next auction. Tomorrow you will be able to delete here http://dnforum.com/auctionsignup.php

For those of you that complained about the auction tonight, I'm refunding 1,000% of what you paid.

Until further notice, each Thursday at midnight, names with $1.00 starting bids will be randomly sorted and placed on top. The remainder will be randomly sorted and follow the names with $1.00 starting bids. This may change if and when we have more than one auction a week.

I'm also considering moving the start time for auctions, after the next one, to 3:00PM CST. If I do, the European members better sign up for the meeting in Italy and show up so you can buy me a beer. :)

For me 7PM is a lot better.
At least I can go out for a beer Saturday night! :)
Then I can come back drunk at 3am and place a few bids!
I don't want to drink in front of my monitor.

Maybe you can fix that proxy bid you talked about so everybody is happy.(and drunk)

i think these proposed changes can only add value to your auctions, ....and potential domain sales. ....both of which would be excellent ....???

I COMMEND IT TO THE HOUSE...!!

best regards

Hi
I think the change to suterday is ok for the member from europe.
BTW i would propose that after every auction to put a list from the names which has been sold and the price+ the name of seller and buyer.
a such list could be very informative for the poeple who can not be in the room.
IMO

My sentiments exactly :D

Some people have told me that by installing the latest Java plug-in JRE 1.4 that it introduced problems with other Java applications.

We're reworking the auction client to be compatible with the earlier JRE versions.

I'm happy to report that the auction client should work with any version of Java. :)

I'm in but when I click on the amounts to bid at the bottom nothing happens.

"Testing ... testing!" Hope everything works out OK! :)
I'm off to the hockey game, and some serious imbibing ... find me tom'w night to let me know how it went. Have fun!
Good Luck.

Was able to make few bids. Now cannot log in.

Same problem I had last week - can't get past Log In. When I click Log In it says "Connecting To Server" but never connects.
