Is it just me, or do some people not realize that they can find the answers to these and many more questions by using the WHOIS system? Don't let a good name slip away because you were too slow to just check this info yourself.
A good place to start is
www.whois.sc. For ccTLD domains (i.e., .cc, .bz, etc.), though, you will have to do some digging -- I recommend going first to some of the more popular registrars and checking their WHOIS, such as eNom and Godaddy.com.
Another tip -- if you are looking to check a large number of domains, consider purchasing a program such as Search Engine Commando (
www.searchfor1.com). This is a search engine submission suite that also include bulk WHOIS search, which is both efficient, clean, and easy to use. Even the free demo supports multiple lookups (although it won't allow you to save the output unless you buy). This is what I use, but I know there are other domain-specific WHOIS lookup programs available -- in fact, I believe one or more is included with an upgrade to Exclusive here at DNForum, so consider looking into that.
Sorry, I'll come down off my soap box. It just pains me (as both a seller and a bystander) to see people ask these types of questions, then miss out on otherwise good deals.
