Hello

I am trying to transfer a .biz domain to enom from a sub-seller of Net-sol.

Enom need an 'authorization key' to make the transfer.... I thought that the present registrar was obliged to provide this code.
The Spanish company with whom the domain was registered cannot provide me with this code instead I have to fill in a form, have it signed in the presence of a lawer , send it to the Spanish company who will then send it via another company who will eventually send it to NETSOL and then I have to wait for them to sent me the authorisation key.

Is this correct... ??? Shouldn't the spanish registration company be obliged to provide the owner of the domain with the authorisation key on request?

The company in question is called 'Arsys.es'. They are a hosting company who offer domain registrations through 'nominalia.com' who in turn I think use netsol.

I have had many problems with Arsys in the past. It seems they don't like having their clients taken away (they appear to have a monopoly in webhosting in Spain). You cannot change DNS info with them instead you have to go to NOMINALIA.COM and then they tell you that the information cannot be changed without authorisation from Arsys. You ask at Arsys again and the never reply. The only way I have ever got Arsys to reply to an email was to send it from '[email protected]'

Does anyone know how I can get the required auth-keys?
Does the owner of a .biz or .info have any rights??
Can the Auth-key to a domain be demanded or do I have to go through the long and seemingly imposible task of getting a reply out of NETSOL via 2 other non-cooperative companys?

Any feedback would be apreciated.

Basically, the Sponsoring Registrar listed on the .biz whois should be reponsible for that.

Hello,

If you are the administrative contact (email address) of the domain name. The registrar should be able to send the authentication key to the administrative email address assigned to the domain name.

You may be able to extract the authentication key from web based management if you know your username and password to access web base management. I know that netsol provided this service started last year.

Though, sending email to your registrar support contact will help requesting to send you the authentication key. Remember, they will only sell the key to the administrative email address to the domain. Modification request of administrative email address is totally different request from netsol.

Hope this help.

.biz and .info registrars are contactually obligated by the registrar agreements to provide the auth key on request. Resellers may not realize this, so you may have to go to the original registrar if they are uncooperative. If they don't do it, you can report them to the registry operator or in turn ICANN.
