At first I thought it might be humorous.

Vote no.

Why give the banned a platform to voice anything they like about everyone?? They've been banned for a reason.

Will we then have to have votes and polls on which banned members should and shouldn't be allowed to post in the banned members forum? This verges on insanity. :D

Perhaps anyone could enlighten me: what could make a banned member lounge fun?

You have obviously never seen one of those pro wrestling Battle Royales. They throw 15 neanderthals in the ring and the last one left alive is the winner. This would be the same kind of deal (except the lunatics would be real rather than actors).

Think of the Pay Per View possibilities alone!

:)

I understand. And you're great.

I'm just afraid Greg will take the community at large seriously. :D

I voted "no".

Would it not be a requirement to "get banned" to post in the particular forum.

My thought it just might encourage those to commit violations just to be a "member".

The best way to deal with those who are banned is to allow for redemption. Allow them to come back after an appropriate time frame. Maybe (1) month for the first time. (3) months for the second time, etc, etc.

A cooling off period will allow them to think about how valuable it is to be a productive member of an active forum.

just my .02 tho!
