Good afternoon all,
I am pleased to announce an experimental YouTube stream from DNForum: the DNForum Domain Café 24/7 LIVE | Chill Lounge Music + Domain Investor Chat.
The idea is simple.
For around 25 years, DNForum has connected domain investors, registrars, registries, developers, brokers, hosting providers and entrepreneurs through our forum. Now we are taking that community experience one step further by creating a permanent virtual lounge where members can relax, work, network and chat throughout the day.
The YouTube live stream will feature:
A little about the live lounge idea
Many people working in technology, hosting, software development, design, marketing and other digital industries spend long hours working from home.
Over the last few years, virtual cafés, workspaces, study rooms and chill lounge videos have become incredibly popular on YouTube. Many people use them as a calm background environment while they work, code, write, design or focus on important tasks.
I am one of them.
When working, I often have one of these streams running in the background. I personally enjoy calm music that does not interrupt my thoughts. Even when I was in Hong-Kong, having a desk at a coworking place - was listening to one such streams. No sudden volume changes, no dramatic drums, no constant interruptions. Just a pleasant atmosphere that helps maintain focus throughout the day.
The goal of the DNForum Live Lounge is to create something similar, though for the domain name industry.
Now = Opportunity. More viewers = more visibility for domains
While the lounge is designed for domain investors, YouTube may also introduce the stream to people outside our industry who simply enjoy this type of content. This is still the 2nd or 3rd most visited resource online globally.
That means entrepreneurs, startup founders, software developers, marketers, designers, agency owners and other professionals may discover DNForum stream and your advertised domains while looking for a relaxing workspace stream.
The more viewers we have, the more likely YouTube is to recommend the stream to new audiences.

At the moment, I am using my MacBook and OBS to stream this to YouTube. I will be running this setup for the next 30 days. Additionally, next week I will run some additional experiments and continue improving the setup.
Yes, this is an experiment. No one knows will it work or not - let us see
