I've posted these elsewhere, but was curious to get the opinion of DNF members.

Now I know people are still afraid of .pro's, but what do you think of these names? They do already get traffic and nobody even knows .pro (Or may never know). Also, do you think their could be TM implications even though there is a . in it? Otherwise these are just words.

Any feedback is appreciated.

SCUBA.Pro
Bass.Pro
Condos.Pro

Thanks in advance,

Ben

That is the question. Would WorldCom have rights to World.com? Probably not, if TM's extend to the tld, it could open a huge can of worms. Anyway, ScubaPro is the same thing.

Here are more, these are just Fortune 500 companies...
Viacom - Via.com?
Omnicom - Omni.com?
Qualcomm - Qual.com?
Broadcom - Broad.com?

You might have trouble with Bass.Pro:

http://www.basspro.com

Bass.pro is a generic single word .pro domain and Basspro is a continuous text mark. They are not comparable.

There are 1,000's of companies with site names like KeywordCom.com, I have never seen a single WIPO case where they are claiming Keyword.com.

If you do a search for allinurl: com.com you get 10.5m uniques. Alot aren't KeywordCom.com formats but there are 1-2 on each page of results.

Basspro.net or Basspro.pro would cause problems but not Bass.pro
