Domains: bbfree.com,bbfree.net,fanbb.com. Free pushes from NameCheap.

Story: Free forum hosting site I recently acquired. Been around for a while and in it's prime was making $200 a week off adsense. Completely custom coded. You retain rights.
Reason for selling: Taking up too much system resources for me and I don't know how to bring forums to their full potential.
Page Rank: 5 (STRONG)
Age: August, 2003.
Alexa: 288,209
Linkpop: Google 49/Yahoo 1290/MSN 5123/Teoma 162
Revenue: About 4,000 adsense impressions per day and net $0.75 per day. Right now users easily can remove advertisements off their boards if they just change the skin. Something I would fix before I sell. Something that would bring revenue up significantly.
Text links would be easy to sell as the PR is very strong and there are thousands of pages indexed in Google.
Users: Almost 100 new boards per day. Can't imagine how many users.
Stats: Around 3,500 uniques per day according to awstats.
Traffic Source: Typins and backlinks. Zero paid avertisements. Nice keywords from google like #3ish for free forum hosting
Other: Huge e-mail databases including those from the old forums that were deleted before I bought the site.

Offers over $500.
BIN $2,000.

Can you give us an idea of how much system resources it is taking up? Bandwidth? Database Size? What kind of server is it on now? Are they the only sites on the server?

When you bought it a couple of months ago, how hard was it to move to a new server?

Can we see a link to some of the current forums hosted there?

By resources I meant only the disk space. I have blenty of bandwidth.

It's taking up about 40 gigs in site space and 10 gigs in database. This is due to the nature of how the forums are created. They are created using a script that lets each forum have 100% rights to their own IPB php files.

To solve this problem I do own a Sebflipper multiforums pro license that I can include in the deal. It has shared files which cuts down on disk dramatically. You should be bounced back to normal if you were to start using this and delete all forums or find a way to move them over.

Pretty big. Moving it is pretty easy aside from the size. Unless you change directory structure. (currently /var/www/bbfree.com)
/var/www/bbfree.net
and /var/www/fanbb.com

I changed directory structure and it only took three sed commands to edit files and about 10 minutes per command.

Bandwidth is showing about 430MB per day.

There are many other high bandwidth sites on there including two large photo hosting sites.

*** Will sell within 24 hours max. Only offer so far is $1,300 and will go with it soon unless I hear otherwise.

Hard to say. It's on my server that I host many sites on. I would say you need a half decent dedicated server. But it does not have to be dedicated to this site.

Aside from hosting, nothing.

What script is used as the board installer and is this included in the sale?

And what about an answer to the above question regarding links to some of the forums hosted so we can get a feel for the advertising on those boards and thier activity.

Thank you.

Out of all the forums listed, I don't see any advertisments, other than a link to your site. Is this what you meant by advertisement, or is there supposed to be banner / text links displayed showing your advertisers links / sites??

Are you hosting this on a linux or windows server? I noticed my server setup has the directory structure of /home/user/public_html/. How difficult is it to change and who would be responsible for making the change so that it would run on my server.

Additionally, IPB licensing, how does that work as I am not familiar with it. If is under GPL or purchased licensing.

Changing directory structure takes 3 commands of about 15 minutes each. I can take care of it.

As listed before advertisements aren't displaying on sites that have skin but I will correct this before I sell. google adsense is shown as every second post on forums with default skins.

IPB 1.3 is free but the newer versions cost money. This version is stable.

Since you didn't reply to my PM, I guess you want everyone to discuss everything related to this sale in here.

Firstly, maybe it'll be more fair if you also disclose that this site was down for months, which resulted in a major loss of users. Therefore, "Age: August, 2003" doesn't reflect the reality, as it was not in operation at all times.

Secondly, considering your last sale attempt, which showed that you were more interested in seeing what people are willing to pay, rather than actually selling anything, shows that this is another attempt to waste time.

Thirdly, please reply to PMs; even if you don't like the offers, that is only a sign of good business;
