hard name to appraise as I haven't really seen much interest in these names resale wise, has anyone seen any secondary .info sales to go by? It seems in the landrush sale the very top names were getting bidded to $25k-30k eg porn.info, according to fizz's previous post. So I would have said beach.info is maybe worth $500.

I wish I did Frenchie, but unfortunately that isn't the case. Those figures are from one of the registrars which took bids before the .info LandRush was announced earlier this month.

I am not sure how successful this particular registrar was, but the figures give a good indication of the interest in .info domain names from the bidders.

Its a great info. Develope it into a beach guide and ranking site, while info gets better aquainted with the rest of the public.

Great name with lots of commercial applications as a portal for holidays.

 

I believe when .tv was introduced, premium names sold for much higher prices than .info. Apparently, .tv prices for premium registrations are off 75% and more. I for one learned a lesson.

I think its a mistake to assume a pretty extension will become a household brand. I cant see beyond dotcom for USA applications.

2-word names are advertised on us tv,like priceline.com, ditech.com, lendingtree.com.... these are UNLIMITED in supply. This is a big disincentive for corporations to pay for creativity. Also, it is a disincentive to invest in generic nondotcoms. The combo makes resale difficult.
