Domain name alone not worth much. The right end user retail buyer may be willing to give you up to ~$250 in the current retail market, but that's only if you have the luxury of holding out. High profile keyword = excellent development potential; develop, get some high quality backlinks and the value will rise considerably.

As always: IMO

PS to all you .COM snobs: check out space.cc. .CC extension doesn't hurt that site one bit :-D :-O

I've frequently considered buying good one word .cc and .ws and developing them. The only way to really make money on this is with developed web sites.

For pure speculation I would have to agree that the .CC TLD isn't the best name space for domain traders. With .CC, I think it's best to have at least a rough development plan before taking the plunge so that that if the domain doesn't sell as quickly as you'd like, you can develop the name a little or a lot--at least enough to earn back the yearly reg. fee with some profit.

I', not a .com snob, I actually like ALL Global TLDs.
I am not too fond of ccTLDs.
However, they do have a use, ONLY developed. and then, only worth it for major names IMO.
otherwise, I'f I am going to develop and dont want to spend too much time on promotion, I prefer to get a gTLD (not necessarily com, net/org/info/biz do fine).
