Best dedicated server provider?

I'm looking for a reasonably priced dedicated server for my sites. I have searched around the web, and the two I'm looking at are: mediatemple.net and fasthosts.co.uk.

I've heard and read good and bad reviews about both services.

Do you have any experience with either? Or can you recommend a good provider?

Maybe not the cheapest, but you probably won't find better service and topnotch systems engineers on duty 24/7.

They manage 1000's of dedicated servers for quite a few Fortune 500 companies.

We run a forum on a dedicated server with them with pretty much zero downtime and if need arises they are there to handle anything our Admins can't.

I recently moved from SVWH to Hostgator and never looked back. For webhosting of many domains Hostgator and their support is top-notch. For a little more than $200 a month you can get a very nice dedicated server with baby plans at under $10.

Servebydesign.net has great pricing - almost too good.

I run a dedicated at GD and a VPS at Hostgator - but can't necessarily recommend either. Might look at swapping my VPS over to servebydesign since it would be about the same price.

I like RACKSPACE..... I've been with 4/5 different hosts through the years, and RACKSPACE is the best....
Also the most expensive, but you get what you pay for, and I get the most help with them and the least trouble...
My sites are larger type sites and I can not afford downtime. Their fanatical support claim is not an exaggeration.
