It's too long ago I forgot, but for such domains usually at least 1 month before the domain goes on hold.

But, I don't chase 3 letters. I was just curious.

I usually put a snap on about 1-2 months before expiry. I'll usually pass for more than that, unless the domain is not resolving or funny things in whois, etc.

I also went to snapnames and they were not listed as a affliated registrar. So, that is why I said that "I was confused".
