Hi all,

another domain I got recently is businesses.name. Most businesses.* are taken ages ago.

Businesses Name can serve for a directory of businesses I imagine. "List your business here" type fo thing :)

Any idea of the worth? It's not a common extension of course, but it's quite easily memorable and rare...

Don't see much interest in the .name ext except for maybe sites realted to naming/names...might be worth somthing as a site that helps new companies create a name for themself etc...

I actually thought of something like:
1) a paid directory service = "pay us $xx to have your business name included in our directory" type of service.
2) an auction site... Businesses Name fits that.
3) some sort of ads-based portal, that directs you to businesses you need, maybe with search capability and allowing ppl to reg their business there.

think your better off finding a niche that is not so saturated but if you went with ideas like the 3 above why not just get a .com like businessbreaker.com (not great but avail).

just think .name is really lame unless it fits naming/names

Ah those exotic TLD's.

Still, I think Business.name would be a viable domain if pushed and promoted accordingly. The plural though kills it :(

for sure, Business.name you have to buy just because it's cheap.

Any estimates?

I'd just like to find an acceptable price level and push it according to suggestions I guess, I'm not going to keep it for too long.

Things to consider: [SIZE=-1]about 219,000,000 for businesses. (google matches, and here it is, pure SEO, one word) / availability - most businesses.* were taken, the only ones remaining are ones with unreasonable extensions and hundreds of dollars of registration fees.....

So what if we'll just think about SEO as primary reason here as the value...
