I've just finished setting up expiringstats.com which contains anything due to drop with statistics and the past few days of data of expired domains with Moz, Majestic, Alexa etc. Obviously the expired domain database will grow over time but probably worth a look.

What if the expired domain is flagged by Google?

Can't really check that as the domain doesn't resolve. However the wayback info is there so you can check what the site looked like in the past.
