For Sale cabalas.com at Pool - now I understand...

I put in a sealed bid for cabalas.com at Pool and now I am in the challenger auction.

The high bid is $8100.00 and my bid was $1675.00 which since I am not within the 20% threshold, makes me the second highest bidder.

Amazing that someone would bid that much for a typo with very low bids and overpay by over $6000.00.

I guess Pool's system does milk the most cash out of most of the domains, especially when some bidders don't have a clue.

YEah, and that was zuccarinis domain, and Cabela's Incorporated took it from him:

and now someone buys it for $8k, amazing.

Some have too much money in theyre hands.

Anyway for $1k it would have been nice PPC money maker.

Why would the domain have expired, rather than forcing Zuccarini to hand it over? Maybe Cabela's is trying to get this domain back, and it's worth more to have it tucked safely away than paying more court costs to get someone else to drop it. Who knows?

Tomorrow the domain will have a proud new owner and be 8K poorer.

Cabelas must have forgot to renew it once they got it from Zuccarini.

I am in a similar situation with the name upyours.com, I put in a sealed bid of $150 and the high bid is at $2501.

I have probally bid too high on a couple of domains as well, but you live and learn...
