I wonder if our porfolio contains some sex related domains, will it affect our integrity or reputation?

What is your view?

I second South's thoughts.

I'd also like to add, that its a personal choice, (maybe I shouldn't even be commenting on here :), a thread about ADULT sites) LOL

In my personal opinion, it shouldn't matter, as long as you do everything legal with regards to the content you display/produce/purchase.

That answer is YES.

It's not just a matter of opinion but rather industry standards. If you don't think so then study the industry. While it may be a personal choice thing here in the forums it can be frowned upon in larger businesses. Association with such inventory can be seen as a negative as the industry tends to lump adult with typosquatting. If you go all adult I am sure you can make money but personally nothing is worth your reputation and integrity. JMO.

I think it also has to do with WHAT the domains are and how they are used.

Now - ReproductiveSystems.com is a sex related domain but I don't think anyone would think anything unethical about it if it was an informational site.

Condoms.com and STDs.com are also sex related domains. What about PlannedParenthood.com?

The question is - where is the line drawn? HardCoreF***ing.com? That may be pushing it for some while others wouldn't bat an eyelash at it.

What if we take it a step further - SwingersF***Fest.com? That's going a little further - and it continues that way until you reach one end - maybe illegal realted (child porn) or realy od stuff (BlenderF***Ing.com etc.).

Who knows where it is.

Personally, as long as it isn't illegal, I really don't care.

I only have a handful of such domains including sexual health domains. How about big domainers like Rick or Rick Latona or Frank , I think they all own some sex domains.

If you don't want your mother or wife to find out you own adult names, incorporate under a different hood or use domain privacy.

When you have as much cash as they do I'm not sure it really matters. LOL. Seriously, sexual health domains would not be a bad thing IF they were treated with care. I have seen many people who own sexual health and reproduction names or females names but they use them for porn, so I think like with everything in the domain world the way you use the domain matters as much as owning the domain itself. Putting up a parked page is likely to turn into a disaster for many of these domains.

time warner and other big "mainstream" are some of the largest cable porn corps. They don't seem very concerned what adult does to their image.

Yes it could affect your reputation, just keep your adult domains out of your regular portfolio. There is a new high paying parking service for porn related domains.

"Condoms.com and STDs.com are also sex related domains. What about PlannedParenthood.com?"

I consider those health industry domains.
