Hi guys,

Just wanted to check something to avoid stepping on any landmines. 😄

Most of my business has always been with end users, so I don’t do that much domainer-to-domainer trading. Even though I’ve been around DNF for a long time, I haven’t posted a ton.

Recently, a friend suggested I also join NamePros. So I did. In one post there, I wrote:
For context, I began investing in domains in 1999. I have been writing for over 40 years and have more than two decades of history on DNF.

The thread got moved to general support, and I was pointed to this rule:
Do not advertise, publicize, or promote external domain-related forums or communities on NamePros. This includes linking to pages that directly promote them. The only exception to this rule is local events and meetups that are in person, face to face.

Fair enough, their house, their rules.

So just checking here.

Is mentioning other domain-related forums or communities allowed on DNF?

If I ever cross a line unintentionally, please let me know and I’ll gladly correct it. 😁

Yes, it is fine :) .. just don't start mass DM-ing inviting people joining new or other forums.

Yes, I am aware of this Namepros rule - makes sense. Especially now :) The King is back!! :) Be afraid :)

btw, here is a domain name forum list I keep (mostly for myself): https://github.com/helmuc/Domain-Name-Communities/blob/main/Domain-Name-Forums-list.md

Please let me know if you see any discrepancies there or if some forum is missing in the list - I will add it.
