I think it comes down to how there using the domains, Godaddy has every right to close down sites that violate there TOS, if the registrant doesn't like it, that's just tough! go register your domains somewhere else, if they want to violate Godaddy's TOS, they deserve what they get....As far as allowing tragic domains to be registered, Godaddy made there position clear on the nightline segment....

Tragic domains are not given a free pass at Godaddy, here is one that they suspended, it was a donation site, which was a front for helping the victims families.

With rare exception (hardcore porn being one) names themselves are not inherintly good or bad. GoDaddy can't presume how the name VAshooting.com is going to be used. And I doubt they have the resources to regularly police the use after registration. So again, it comes down the the next level...Ebay, parking sites, Advertising providers, etc.

I do register my domains at eNom, because NoDaddy is a company ran by illustrious Bob Parsons, known for his assault on porn and yet his company's marketing promotion is nowadays based on the T&A concept (short for tits and ass). GoDaddy came to the Nightline only as an opportunity for more publicity - I would not recommend them. Visit NoDaddy.com for more examples of censorship and DNS hijacking.

Agreed. This guy is the biggest POS in the industry. Says one thing, does another. Who uses Godaddy anyways, noobs mostly? Serious domainers use the likes of Enom and Moniker. Domains are much cheaper and without all the F-ing non-sense politics that Bob likes to spout from his pedestal. I'm not giving money for Bob to stand on a platform.

But he does look cute though with that earring doesn't he?

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

VirginiaTechMassacre.com Continues Assistance Efforts

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (April 27, 2007) – VirginiaTechMassacre.com, a large and important ProjectCare.com website, will continue its efforts to assist those affected by the horrible tragedy of April 16th on an ongoing basis.

Kevin Caruso, the founder and director of ProjectCare.com, is serving as the director and editor-in-chief of the site.

“We will do everything that we can to help those who are hurting because of the tragedy,” said Caruso. “We will be here forever for them – today, 5 years from now, and 50 years from now.”

Caruso, who also runs Suicide.org, is very concerned about those who are or may become suicidal because of the tragedy. “Whenever a tragedy of this magnitude occurs, we need to implement as many suicide prevention strategies as possible,” he said. “So we will be working diligently online and offline to ensure that everyone who is suicidal receives the help that they need.”

VirginiaTechMassacre.com will also serve as a large memorial for the 32 victims. “We will always honor the 32 angels we lost on the horrible day – they are 32 of the most amazing people this world has ever known,” said Caruso.

Lastly, the site will serve to educate the public about the tragedy – numerous articles and pictures are already on the site.

VirginiaTechMassacre.com was launched shortly after the tragedy and is a permanent ProjectCare.com website.
