Change avatar not working.

I removed my avatar, and am trying to add a new one. I have tried both a URL, ans upload. In both cases it simply tells me:

"Unable to save image"

My avatar fits all the criteria etc.. so Im not sure what is wrong.

Chuck, in case you missed it the signature is the same way.

No images are being uploaded for avatar or signature.

Avatars are uploading now, I will have to get the signature checked as well. I assume the permissions were changed for that folder too and never adjusted.
