Full disclosure up front: this is my own tool, built for my own portfolio site (MyDomainHQ). Not trying to sneak in a plug , genuinely want this community's eyes on the methodology, because you're exactly the people who'd notice if the weighting is off.
The pitch, briefly: most free appraisal tools spit out a single number from a black-box algorithm. UDAS instead works like a visible underwriting worksheet , comps-first, not algorithm-first:

What I actually want from this thread: tell me where the weighting is wrong. Does Legal Risk dominate too hard or not hard enough? Is Liquidity's effect on the wholesale discount realistic? Throw a domain you actually sold at it, with the real comps you used, and tell me if the range it spits out is defensible or nonsense.
I'd rather find the flaws here than pretend it's finished.

- You enter real sold comps (from NameBio, DNJournal, wherever) , the median becomes the actual anchor
- 12 weighted factors (brandability, keyword strength, TLD, length, buyer pool, timing, traffic, legal risk, liquidity, etc.) adjust that anchor up or down, with every multiplier published (Excellent = 1.35×, down to Poor = 0.45×)
- Trademark/legal risk is a deliberate override, not just another averaged factor — it can crater the value regardless of everything else, on purpose
- Wholesale and retail get separate ranges, since a fast investor sale and a patient end-user sale are genuinely different markets
- If you don't have comps, it says so honestly ("heuristic only") instead of pretending confidence it doesn't have
