Effective 01 May 2003, the fee charged by CIRA (the dot-ca registry) for registering a dot-ca will be CAN$12.50 (down from the current CAN$15 which has been in place since 01 February 2002). Stay tuned for a new round of price war among certified registrars! :D

Buggers, I just pre-booked one and paid $30 Canadian + GST, off course.

At the new rates .ca's should start selling like hot cakes, I'll buy a few more.

Hmm ... actually this is just the wholesale price paid by registrars. I would expect some half a dozen of them who are currently charging CAN$23-25 to drop below the $20 mark in order to extend their market share. But for pre-book/snap services, there are not many to choose from. ;)

I should have relized that was wholesale price and not end user...duh :)

Thanks,

Mike
