I am placing for sale ClansHosting.com, which is a free hosting community. With nearly 7500 active free hosting accounts, there is a huge amount of potential to do many things with this community. We get 50-75 new signups every day, and we currently spend nothing on advertising.
The site currently runs Google Adwords, and averages roughly $25-$30 per day in revenue. All free sites display a banner ad at the top of the site and text links at the bottom. Over the past month or so, we've also tryed some fixed banner ads and other ads with less success. If you had more time, i'm sure you could easily sell the bottom text links or do other things to further increase the revenue, since between the main site and the free sites you have access to over 1,000,000 page views per month.
Please Note - November adwords stats are somewhat reduced due to some other ads being displayed the first 2 weeks of November. We've since gone back to Adwords only, and results have been greatly improved - see Nov. 20 stats.

The server that hosts the free accounts is a dual Xeon 2.8Ghz server hosted at http://www.versaweb.net - the cost is roughly $290/mo - you are free to move the accounts to a different server if you like. Based on the current load, I have no doubt that the current sites would easily run on a good single CPU server (see load images), or the existing server can be kept and you could continue to grow to well over 10,000 accounts. We also have a separate account that hosts only the clanshosting.com main website in case of any server problems, which is $20 per month. Total bandwidth usage between free sites and the clanshosting.com main site is roughly 400GB per month. The free sites use roughly 100GB of disk space.

Current site is based on IPB and IPB Portal with a custom skin. Complete site, design, etc. are included. Signups and account creation are completely automated, using a script by AutoCreation.net, which handles all account signups and creates each new user a new Cpanel account. It's a very complete script that has active developers who are always adding new features, and even features multi-server support. The forum community has been a bit inactive lately, however it could easily be revived with a little time and effort. The community was originally started in March 05, and has been steadily built ever since.
Clients:
7300+ Free hosting clients, each with their own subdomain. We don't host any full domain customers - no www.yourdomain.com hosting, only yoursub.ourdomain.com accounts, so paid upgrades are possible. We don't restrict where our clients come from, so we have free accounts from users world-wide, although well over half of our traffic is US-based on the main site. Each account is given 250mb disk space and 5gb bandwidth, 1 MySQL database, and 1 email account along with a cpanel account. Each account has forced ads - we currently use mod_layout to display ads.
Revenue:
Adsense, averages $25+ per day, over $700 revenue Oct. '05. On track to clear over $800-$900 in December if no changes are made.

Why We are Selling:
Our company is currently consolidating and concentrating on our core businesses, and is eliminating peripheral projects such as this free hosting site. We aren't in a huge hurry to sell, although we'd like to close a transaction in the next few weeks so we can close out our books for the year. We originally purchased and developed this community as an advertising project to feed into one of our paid hosting companies, however that plan did not work out as expected.
This is a very solid, established site that is fairly easy to maintain, and could make some great revenue for the right webmaster.
