Can anyone tell me about the popularity of the .coms or .nets in other countries? Any links for information on this that you know of? I'd love to see some studies.

i cant speak for other countries or for anyone else but in the uk i still think coms the daddy though a .co.uk is probably better then net here

Dot coms rule in Asia and Africa. Europeans and Americans seem to be going with county codes and dot infos etc ;)

www.DomainStats.com had a full list of country codes and other TLDs with the number of registrations of each, it's now limited - but .DE and .UK were the top country codes when I last saw that list.

yeah i dont think .de is that far off .coms to be honest which is astonishing

Seems that way. Are the .coms as popular as the .nets in Asia. I run into more .net usage than .coms in China. Anybody know?
