I registered ♂.com, the male sign, just for fun a couple of years ago. What would it be worth today? Should i hang on to it?

If you cannot see the domain it converts to xn--g5h.com in punycode.

8-)g There are several ways... You can use an ALT combination, copy and paste or just click a link.

The ALT combinations differ depending on what input-language/code page you are using. The most common are probably one of the following:

ALT+11
ALT+2642
ALT+9794

You also need a font capable of displaying the male sign otherwise you'll probably just see a square.

Due to the fact that Internet Explorer no longer supports IDNs and most Mozilla browsers will not support IDNs in the future, I value this domain at reg fee.

While holding down the ALT key type 11 on the numeric keypad. Release the ALT key. If you don't see the male sign try one of the other combinations:

ALT+11
ALT+2642
ALT+9794

If you don't see it using any of those then you are using a codepage i'm not familiar with or you have a font without the male sign. Make sure you are using the numeric keypad on the right of your keyboard.

Cheers

Then i'll just hold on to it... I still think it's a pretty cool domainname... I would part with it for $500 though...

That's not true, IE doesn't support it to begin with, microsoft has announched they will provide support in IE 7 and all mozilla browsers do support IDN's however they have integrated the option to cancel that support.
This is not reg-fee imo but at the moment you wouldn't get more then a high xx.

Come back in august ;)

(Then we'll all go to hell...)

I think that any IDN-appraisal requires there to be a fully developed and accepted IDN-support but first and foremost an IDN-sales precedence. The intrinsic value is low, so without precedence, the appraisals are low. Since ms should launch IE 7 somewhere in june/juli I expect the months after that to be more of a testcase for the real value of IDN's .
