Hi guys,

This is my first post. I've been registering domains for some time now, but haven't taken advantage of domain monetization companies. I thought from my research there was only a 3 companies out there (DomainSponsor, SEDO, and TrafficClub), but I've found nearly 15 companies out there.

I have a porfolio of just over 100 domains - relating to sports, athletes, financial, and internet marketing.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Tim,

Welcome to the forum!

Personally, I use DS and really like them, but everyone has their own favorite parking services. Your best bet is to get accounts at a few places (maybe DS, Namedrive, SEDO, TrafficClub and Parked.com) and start trying different names at different providers. Each name will do better with a different provider, so by the end of all your testing you will still probably be using 3 of those services. Just remember to keep testing things out until you find a combination that really works well.

Good luck.

From what i can see.. Fabulous and ND do well with financial.

Thanks for the responses ... another quick question for clarification ... what does better -- URL FWDing or changing the DNS to the parked company's server?

DNS server.... more search engine friendly and your page loads quicker ;-)

You have more control with URL forwarding and more transparency as some programs do not record in your stats the actual traffic your domain receives.

For peace of mind I would go with URL forwarding as in the long run most big search engines delist Parked Domains as they are not allowed to follow links and offer no real content.

Thanks -- I have a 20GB / unlimited domain server w/ RackForce ... I think I'll do the URL forwarding ... thanks!

If I optimized the page with keywords (word tracker / overture tool), is that a good or bad thing?

Do you have a fixed IP? if so you can create a single page to do all the forwarding for you.

You are best monitoring the traffic to see where it comes from and clean it if necessary.

Do not optimize with irrelavant keywords, you might get 1 Click for $5 but if you spend some time getting relative keywords you will get a better click through rate.

Very sound advice.

I would only add get yourself some more names. The more quality traffic you bring the better you are likely to be treated.

Hi Tim,

I have some programs in our guide. (see sig)

To help you here some more:
(some questions)
- what are tld's
- do you know where the traffic is coming from
- how much traffic do you have

kind regards,

Faisj
