Have you guys found compete.com accurate in determining traffic?

A new domain acquisition of mine is getting pretty good traffic but it doesn't show up on there which surprises me. I am wondering if this traffic is going to be short-lived or compete just isn't recognizing it for some reason.

Compete - US traffic
If your domain has no US traffic it will have no compete rank

Yeah my traffic is getting a lot from India.

Compete is not accurate for US traffic either but its the best free tool available out there. Use their stats as a guide and you experience to build up on it to define domain value

Alexa gets stats from the number of people who uses alexa toolbars to go on your site.
Therefore most people normal people who aren't webmasters don't have the alexa toolbar.
Therefore if your site is related to webmasters you have a higher chance of having a higher alexa than someone who gets alot of traffic from pet owners etc.
