Hi all,
I was looking up some names in the USPTO database and see there are many same names, but completely different owners registered. All live and in effect.

I thought if one person trademarked a certain word, no one else can use it? How are they getting away with it? Is there some legality I'm overlooking?

Thanks!

It has to do with what type of goods the trademark is for.

You can have a trademark for Glow wrestling and another one for Glow perfume.

You can have a trademark for Ford modelling agency and Ford automobiles.

Thanks for the answer DomainGoon, that clears it up.
