something rings true about this domain..
wait a second..

damn,, just my ears ringing..

another useless reg ;)

"Convention Centers of America" sounds awesome to me
so why not conventioncenters.us?

Is there such a company?

it could suit a company like "US(A) Convention Centers" or Convention Centers, AnyCity, USA, conceivably

couple of hundred too much too early for a .US?? hm

A good idea bidawinner. Conventions are huge business (I registered convene.net a few months ago to develop a related site). I have staged trade shows myself at various trade centers and it always took a lot of research to pick the right one. It could be a very good informational site. How would you monetize the traffic though? I'm not sure what products would go with it.

How to monetize the traffic ?

If I do this one right and list all the Convention Centers in the US , show who is getting which shows, events etc,

This should be a site that could generate real advertsing...from Convention Centers that want to pay to be "highlighted" to all the various venders that live off of the convention center business.

I really think before I even get this one off the ground I should be receiving offers..like you said this is huge business ..multi billions here in the states.

Wow, you are onto a decent idea I think. There can't be too many convention centers in the country. I live near Milwaukee WI and know there are only 3 major ones and a couple handfuls of minor ones (like the ones hotels have). You get a list of the largest cities in the states, work your way down the list and you'll have a nice ongoing project.

Might be more money in selling it once started than profitting from ongoing operations, but I could be wrong.
