the places aren't that well known and the .tv TLD means nothing and only hurts the names

Have you ever watched Gambia TV?

Seriously though the country is not called "Gambia" it is "The Gambia" so not really a true country name.

However I disagree with GT Web - The Gambia and Borneo are very well known countries.

Still don't rate them with much $$ value.

its called "The" Gambia? lol thats funny.

BTW , where are these Countries / regions / places and what do they do ? Why should someone spend $$ on these names ?

i thought gambia.com sold for 20k?

my point exactly.... I know where they places are, but I doubt 1/20 Americans could even come close to finding them on a world map....

Canada.tv for example might be a different story, but I'm sure they have some kinda TV in Gambia :dead:

Why is it that some of you people think the world revolves around America! - There is a whole world of different people, places and environments outside of the US!

The Gambia is a beautiful country with lovely people and an airport that is commissioned as an alternative landing strip for the Shuttle!

Borneo is a place where you can trek jungle and meet the "old man of the forest", the orangutan.

People, get out more!

Exactly!
There are a lot more inet users out there than there are in America - so who really cares what the 19 out of 20 iliterates think, or don't think for that matter! Larf, larf, ho ho,.

true - it just means your potential buyers went down by 95% - all those ppl who have no idea where these places are...and Wilco - I plan to visit all of the places in this thread - but as a 15 yr old there aint many places I can go.... but Im going to the Grand Canyon in 3 weeks - its a start :)

At 15 I wish you good luck.

I have been to most of the places that you could name anywhere in the world and lived in many exotic ones, currently Chiangmai, Thailand and the majority of my buyers have been from outside of the US.

Limit your market to the US and you will miss most buyers, broaden your horizons and perhaps you can get to those places a little earlier.

Good luck
