You can now close externally-negotiated leads through GoDaddy for 5%.
Custom Checkout Link, launched in 2023, is a service that Afternic created in collaboration with Dan.com, a GoDaddy brand.
Through Custom Checkout Link, Afternic sellers could use Dan.com links to close externally-negotiated transactions for a 5% commission for Buy it Now transactions, with a minimum $15 commission.
We’re excited to announce the next step for Custom Checkout Link. We’re moving the Custom Checkout Link experience to GoDaddy URLs to be the ultimate partner to help you close external sales.
GoDaddy is the world’s largest domain registrar; customers trust the company with around 82 million domain names, and they empower 21 million entrepreneurs.

How do I create a Custom Checkout Link?
Creating a Custom Checkout Link for your domain name hasn’t changed. It remains a simple process. Here’s how.
- Head to your Portfolio page, and click the ellipsis next to the domain name of your choice.
- Click “Create Custom Checkout Link”
- A pop-up will appear. Enter your Buy it Now or Lease to Own terms
- Click “Create Link,” and your Custom Checkout Link will appear
- Send the link to your buyer. They’ll have 7 days from when you created the link to pay for the domain name.
- Need to access the link again? It’s available through your Portfolio page at any time during those 7 days. We’ll also email it to you.
