It sounds like a solid agreement, as far as takeover...I doubt it but could mean that.

I think it's more likely than Dan.com wants to increase it share of exposure and godaddy liked the idea and they joined "forces"

Godaddy does a lot of marketing and the average business owner knows Godaddy faster than most of the reputable and established domain name registrars.

I see this as a good strategy for both companies.
 
Hoping commission doesn’t go from 9% to 20% but I think that might be wishful thinking
