Dnforum extemely slow to load

Over the last few weeks waiting for this site to load has become almost unbearable, at least for me.

It is either "waiting for bannerpages.com" or other nonsense.

Anyone else seeing this?

There have been several threads on this and though it was tweaked at one time, we aware there are still users having issues and are looking into further solutions. I haven't gotten any further updates from our techs to pass along as of yet.

Takes me like 20 seconds to load a page, it seems. Sometimes it's instant, other times it is a pain. This is from a DSL connection too.

Yes, bannerpages.com is definitely causing the site to load slow for me as well. Been like that for several weeks.

I'm on dialup and average time for a page to load is 20 seconds. DNForum loads within 20 seconds on my connection, so it is not slow for me

It loads in 4-6 seconds for me. I am using Firefox. 128Kbps connection.

Today wass terrible. I had to wait 40 seconds, and that was on a sub-forum. Firefox-DSL

For me it also loads very slowly because of the "Number of Active Users Today" List.

I considered starting a thread about this myself earlier. Yes, the home page often takes a very long time to load on a DSL line with a major company. The other DNF pages generally do a lot better. It's sometimes a disincentive to open up DNF, so if Adam and his crew can oil the parts or hook up some new hyperdrive engines that would be great.
