It's hardly life threateningly urgent I know, but I was curious about what
happened to the tutorial on changing signature pictures, as I'm having
trouble uplaoding mine (I've tried .jpg / .gif / .png versions all under
the file size and width/height restrictions and it still says no).

The link given is...............

http://www.dnforum.com/signature-picture-tutorial.php

.........but that's just a blank page.

Thanks,

domainding.

I think you need to be an exclusive member.

Sorry, I think I'm asking about the wrong thing, I mean the picture that appears below your name in
the left hand box next to posts, not actually in the posts.
I've seen quite a few platinum members with them.
Actually, I mean like the picture of the monkey under theInvestor's name 2 posts up. Is that the avatar
not signature ?. I've tried them all there too, still no luck. Picture is 62x62and and a tiny 8kb.

Thats the avatar.
In the user cp just select use custom avatar, find your picture and save changes.

Nope, I've tried that every which way with jpeg, gif, png, all well under the sizes that it says it will accept. Still no luck. :disappointed:

Ah well. If admin sees this maybe they can force it through for me, otherwise I'll give it a miss.

Thanks anyway everyone.

Yes that is an avatar.

Please try uploading again.
If you get an error please report the error here.

It will need to be updated.

We are looking into the issue now.

To add a signature, visit your usercp located on the red nav menu, then click edit signature. There you can provide a url to where the image resides, or upload an image from your computer.

If it works, you will then see the image appear. To the right of it select, use this image and it will then place a code that looks like this:
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] in the above text box.

To hyperlink it, highleft the text:
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] and chooe the hyperlink option in the editor menu and enter you link and save.

Thanks
