DNForum Points?

Alright, exactly how are points tallied at DNForum?

Sometimes it seems I get two points for a post and sometimes three. Do you get points for time logged in? TIme spent in the chat room?

Jut curious as I continue my quest to get an Avatar! :laugh:

New Thread: 3 Points

If you start a thread.. and it gets:

5 replies, you get 1 extra points
8 replies, you get 2 extra points
12 replies, you get 4 extra points
15 replies, you get 8 extra points
25 replies, you get 15 extra points

or

25 views, get 1 extra points
50 views, get 2 extra points
75 views, get 4 extra points
100 views, get 8 extra points
200 views, get 15 extra points


And you get a lofty 50 points for referring a unique new member Look at the bottom of the store page for referral info: http://www.dnforum.com/store.php

I've suggested to a few ppl. that they should come here,and have since seen posts by them.
How are the points claimed?

Well, I don't think there is much to do now.. But for future people you want to refer just go to www.dnforum.com/store.php, scroll to the bottom of the page and get your URL to give to whoever so that when they register coming in from that url, your name auto appears in the refer field. Or, you can use the "e-mail thread to a friend", thing, on the bottom of any thread which also has a refer link in the e-mail for that person. And the points are claimed automatically once they register, you get a PM saying you referred someone

Interesting...

Question 1: If my thread gets 25 replies and 100 views, do I get 15 + 8 = 23 extra points, or whichever is higher (15 points)?

Question 2: If my thread gets 300 views (exceeds 200 views), will I get 15 (for 200 views) + 8 (for extra 100 views) extra points?

pixelman, you already have way more points than me although fewer posts. I did spend 20 points on a "lottery ticket" -- hoping to win the big 10,000 point payoff or however many it is, lol....
