I know it's been said before, and again and again, but let me be the next to day it:

Do NOT use RegisterFly!

I have been transfering all of my registerfly domains out to Godaddy, well, on Godaddy I have had no problems, and on RegisterFly... wow.. just wow.

Out of three attempts to call them, I was on hold for approximately 10 minutes each time, when the line just went dead. Yes, at the 9:30 second marker each time. It's like they don't actually have anybody answering their phones, but they have a phone system that is programemd to kill calls after 10 minutes.

What a joke.

When I call GoDaddy I get a person within a few minutes or less.

Good luck moving out of GoDaddy as well :-D

They like blacklisting contact emails and therefore you won't be able to get transfer out notices when it's needed.

I second that.
Regfly sucks but I have never liked godaddy either.
Well they shouldn't be worse but maybe next in line :cheeky:

don`t make the mistake and move them to godaddy

I have heard this many time that Registerfly supports sucks! i have only one name with them so I think I am safe :P

..:: peace ::..

FYI: registerfly's moving to their new offices in NJ, just got confirmation from
my contact there.

They should be able to reply more frequently to support queries probably by
the start of next week. Should be able to, anyway.

To anyone who says don't go to GoDaddy, do you have a reason for this? I'd be interested in knowing.

Do you prefer eNom?

Enom is by far better then godaddy. I recently tried to transfer out a name to enom from godaddy. It was denied, because godaddy didn't allow the transfer. The name was unlocked, had all my whois info right including email, and it was still blocked..

There's another thread I was going to post, but I see I can't post links to any
competing forums. (To the mod who edited it: understood, thanks.)

Every registrar's got good and bad things. It's a matter of which weighs more.

registerfly I regged the name omaha.net there and I never got it!!

When was this? If you honestly think you handregged Omaha.net recently, you had it coming.

Thanks Dave Zan. Great links. Is eNom the way to go then? I have an account there as well..

And Limit$... omaha.net has been registered since 1996.. As far as I know RegisterFly wasn't even around until LATE 90's, like 99 or so. So you didn't miss out on it because of them. It was long gone before you ever tried. :-)

I agree.. RegistryFly is totally useless.
I used their Escrow service once to transfer a domain out from RegisterFly
- the guy who I bought the domain from got his money 4 MONTHS after I paid for the domain!!!!

It took 3 weeks for the escrow to be completed.
I phoned RegisterFly 6 times and on each occasion gave up after waiting 20 minutes.

I do not exaggerate. I will NEVER use RegisterFly again - for anything.

Also, on the one occasion I did manage to get through - they told me I needed to contact the Escrow department - but outright refused to connect me, tell me the number or even their name.

What a load of horse s...

BTW, I use ENOM. Great support. Never had a problem with them.
