Hello everyone,

This is my first post on dnforum.com, so go easy on me. I've been asked to determine what a domain is worth.

A little background on the situation. The company I work for bought another company last June and with it we got to own and operate a few pages of the website that the orginal company owned. Well, things have gone extremely south for the guy we bought the business from. He has stopped paying his hosting bills (to the tune of $1100), so the host pulled the site (even though my company paid half of the hosting bill).

Since there are so many existing sites linking to the old domain name (we purchased a new one to distance ourselves from him) we want to buy it.

The domain in question is imcagencyinc.com
Thanks in advance.

I'm a little confused on the original post. Whom are you wanting to buy the domain name from, i thought you (your company) owned its?
I may have looked at this wrong, is the domain owned by the original guy that your company bought the company from? If thats the case then offer the guy a few hundred $$$ to get ownership of the domains.
Having looked at the domain, i dont see that i will be worth a lot either way as there is only 1 inbound link to the site from google and its showing a Google Page Rank of 4. MarketLeap.com shows 125 links in total across the different engines.

My personal advise on this domain is:
If you dont need control of this domain then forget it and register/buy another one. If you do need this domain, go in at a couple of hundred $ for a quick sale.

Just my 2 cents

Thanks for the reply DeCal. We'll probably just offer the guy a few hundred.
