A combination of few factors are in the very base:
1) the shorter the better (both: in character count and word count)
2) easy to pronounce and remember
3) extension: .com is the king the rest are way too far
4) which niche is the name representing (there are billion $$ niches and $1 niches)
That is ABC :)

then there comes more..

In many cases, yes. Though not significantly.

Backlinks and domain authority, in general, will be more valuable than age, especially if the domain name has never been developed.

If I have a domain authority of 50 does that mean I should target keywords with a Keyword difficulty of 50?

This means you have a very good SEO domain!! You could try listing it at some auction platform that specifically displays DA and DR.

one of the best experts in SEO domains at DNF is: @ukbackorder

The keyword popularity, market demand, past sales data, length, domain age, SEO potential have impact on domain value.
