Domain Renewal Fraud

We liked this so much we linked to it in a general mailing to our customers - even though it was put up by a competitor. The guy who maintains this site has offered for other OpenSRS resellers to copy his work and rebrand it for themselves, but I thought it worth giving him the credit and linking to it directly.

We had a number of customers reply to the mailing as having received the notice in the mail and not understanding what it was all about - nearly sending a check to DRoA or Verisign as a result - even though they knew they never registered with them and that they were loyal customers of the Big Bird...

There are many innocents on the Internet who don't understand how all of this works, and all these scammers are playing on their lack of knowlege on how all this works.
