Next time, virus writers will likely just target microsoft.com itself (or other high-profile sites, such as eBay.com, Amazon.com, etc.). Not sure folding up was the best strategy....
 
This is just horrible. If Microsoft feels it can't sufficiently wipe the "muck" off of its domain name, God help us all if someone releases a virus that decides to "nuke" a list of sites the virus-writer doesn't particularly like.
