ok-- so I'm new. Whip me, spank me, ridicule me. I can take it. However, I know you're not supposed to go by what Estibot say's...but, the suspense is killing me!

Seriously can this figure really be a ballpark? I just hand regged this name within the past month.

PercentDown.com - $13,000

I have a few others that estibot appraises at $1000 - $4000 plus each.

Heck I'd be happy
just to know I didn't register a dud.

Peace,
Vik:-#:

Well, to be frank, out of all the billions of 'value your site' offerings, I find estibot to be quite interesting with some sensible valuations for some of my names. And I never thought I'd ever say that about a valuation site. Maybe $13k is a little hopeful for percentdown.com, but that name addresses a lucrative sector.

Develop!

Thanks aZooZa-- like your nic!

I will be developing some of my names. Still researching the best way. Not sure if I should go CMS, like Joomla, or just build it myself. I can do web design, though it's been awhile. Time to brush up on html.

Still would like to know if anyone can apprise the name though. I'm not expecting $13,000 ;)

Thanks again for responding aZooZa, really appreciate it.

Peace,
Vik

Granted. $0 undeveloped.

PS: However... I just thought what if one makes zero.percentdown.com subdomain? Looks even more valuable than the dom itself :)

undeveloped I would say maybe $$ reseller, would be a lot of work to find an end user here that pays some significant amount IMO

Everybody does this when they start, just make sure you don't spend too much money while you are learning... But I wouldn't try to focus on getting your money back..
It will only lead to more losses like I did as a newbie

Thanks for input everyone :)

patroiz- I did run it through estibot before I bought it, but mostly just to see the Frequency and PPCAds score for future development potential and hopefully resale down the road. Both looked decent. I think at the time estibot had an approx value of $190. I had already perused here and dnforum so knew not to buy based on estibot appraisal alone. I was bored after coming home from work one night (waitress-we tend to be night owls) and started running some of my domain names through estibot again and thus my shock when I saw the $13,000. I just couldn't help inquiring!

Now that my portfolio is parked, it's time to dive into development. Just trying to figure out best way to do this at this point!

Peace-
Vik

vik68,

The first question you should have asked yourself was "Does this domain have any commercial value?". Granted, there are many reasons why domainers purchase domains (About 50% of the time I purchase for development). But if you want to flip the domain quickly, ask yourself that question first, then look at stats last.

For instance, NoMoneyDown.com would have been the better choice, aimed at mortgages or car loans. "Percent Down" isn't really associated with anything unless you get more specific like ZeroPercentDown.com 0PercentDown.com
