I'm trying to pre-register generic dot Asia domain names at Godaddy.

1.Will i be charged with 100$ based on this:
** $100.00 non-refundable application fee applies for General Registered Marks, Extended Protection and
Registered Entity Names registrations.

2.Will my card be billed right away or only during the landrush period if the domain will not be put up for bidding?

This is what their site said:

http://help.godaddy.com/article.php?article_id=3737&topic_id=

  • When you apply for the domain, we charge you an application fee, if applicable, and the registration fee. If the domain is rejected, we refund the registration fee.
  • If your application was rejected, you may be notified by the Asia Registry prior to the Landrush period. However, we notify you of your domain's status immediately after the Sunrise period ends.

You could always ask them if you haven't done so yet.

Remember, i'm trying to pre-register.

That's what the part I quoted from Go Daddy's page said. My guess is they're
going to charge you on the spot, but they'll refund the registration fee if they
didn't succeed in getting it for you.

If they charge you an application fee on the spot as well, they'll pocket it no
matter what the result is.
