Drop Names

I was talking to someone a couple weeks ago & everyday at 1pm they would catch dropped names. I was wondering - how does this work? How can I get involved (where do you start)?

Any more information on how to get started is appreciated!

o4g247, try going to the search button at the top right and look for 'name drops'

 

[Domain]

VeriSign (Network Solutions) drops domain names "usually" starting at 2:00 pm eastern time for about 15 to 30 minutes.

Two free resources you should look at are localwhois.com and deleteddomains.com. Both will tell you which names are getting ready to drop and which names have already dropped.

Other registrars like register.com and numerous others do not have any specific time in which they release names as far as I can tell. Generally though, they release names in 30 to 45 days.

Now I know there will be several hundred people fighting for this name because it is of much worth. What is the ultimate best tool of making it as soon as it drops that it auto registers for me?

From misspelled type-in traffic from psychic.com? That would seem to be a very rare mispelling.

Wierd........ it has great overture stats. 100+ links but the website has not been anything but a coming soon page since it started in dec 1998 till it stopped resolving in april 2001.

physic is a word meaning a medicine or drug. There are a lot of medicines and drugs being sold & resold online. I get a lot of spam advertisements with "pain relieving medicine" or such.
