How do I find out which register a domain will drop?
I found a good domain that is dropping next week, but not sure how to figure out which register will get it?

Do a whois lookup on sites like whois.sc, you will be able to find the information you need.

http://www.icann.org/registrars/gtld-lifecycle.htm

Make sure it's at the end of it's "cycle." Just cos the renewal date is approaching does not mean it becomes available.

Once it goes through this cycle for the most part there is no way to know which registry will catch it when it drops. The two best ones I'm aware of are snapnames.com and pool.com. GoDaddy, DotReg and a few others offer a "back order" service too. There used to be namewinner (not sure how they do it now) and enom now uses snapnames if I'm not mistaken.

I have a long list of drop catch/registrar partners. PM me with the name of the registrar and I should be able to tell you who will catch it.
