To be honest, it sounds like a name with mediocre prospects. I'm not sure what I'd find at a website called "DemoRecordings.com"... unless it is a bunch of raw unpolished music that the public wasn't supposed to hear.

If it was representative of a service that created "demos" for people to send out, maybe... but either way it seems destined for a very particular buyer, who might be better off with a more distinctive name to brand with. IMO, a DemoMaker.com or MyDemo.com type of thing would be better in this category.

I think it is a sweet name that is often heard in the music industry. Google shows 14,000 listings with the term "demo recordings" (include quotations). So there are some sites out there using the term.

I would say at least $1k-$2k retail.

Good luck!

I appreciate the feedback everyone.. sincerely!

My thinking is that (based on my limited research in the demo records biz)
That a site that offered both
a) demo recording services
and
b) a place for new artists with new demo's too show off their demo talent.. and allowing the record companies to visit the site and listen @ their leisure.. would maybe be good.

* As most of the recording label company sites I visited.. had a place too "send" your demo in.. but the "timing" too rec' any feedback was lengthy, due too the # of demo's they rec' daily.

These folks do demo recording service:
www.DemoRecording.com (singular)

so, I figured my DemoRecordings.com (plural) might have a bit of resale value.. somewhere in the $200 range was my hopefully thinking!

Again, thankyou for the feedback!
