I see that my domain is in redemption as I didn't renew it in time according to Enom. However the domain still says ACTIVE in the whois so I see that Enom renewed it themselves with my contact info in it.

I'm assuming that there is no coupon code for Enom's version of redemption (RGP) but is there?

Enom gives almost 4 weeks past expiration before dropping a name into RGP mode, which then costs $160 to recover from.

Even more interesting is the "Extended RGP" which pretty much is a euphemism for "hostage domain"; Enom parks it, reaps the profit from traffic and awaits an offer to sell.

It might not go into ERGP unless Enom decides the domain is valuable. Eg one expired in February and it's still in ERGP.

How about the one where I suggested you complain to ICANN? Any luck with
that?

You got me mixed up with someone else :p.

Anyways, ICANN seems to be on the registrars side. When is the last time they helped us domainers? They supported price increasing til we voiced our opposition.

It is possible that Enom decided to keep it for themselves.
I've had the same thing with them.

Your best bet is to contact them if you want the name and are prepared to cough up $200 for their so-called extented RGP thing
