Hi guys,

I have a problem with the Escrow.com.
Almost a month have passed and I still didn't receive my money.

I pushed my domains to buyers.
The Escrow.com received their fees.
And I have nothing, no money no domains.

I asked the Escrow to cancel the deals but they said they cannot.

The Escrow support told me I need to wait. But I'm waiting since the 8th of September and still nothing.
I found nothing in their terms about such issues.

Does anybody have the same problem ?
What options do I have ?

Regards.

what reason do they give for not paying you?

Escrow.com has been contacted by the OFAC regarding the funds being sent to you by wire transfer for this transaction.

The OFAC is the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the United States, a division of the US Department of Treasury. The OFAC administers and enforces economic and trade sanctions based on US foreign policy and national security.

Escrow.com has been instructed by the OFAC to obtain the following additional details regarding this wire before it can be processed.

But I have nothing with OFAC.
I checked here http://sdnsearch.ofac.treas.gov/ and found nothing about me , region, bank. So we are not in list.

They assured me they released the money but after 48 hours they emailed me with message above.
For all of my questions they have one answer - we don't know , you need to wait.

Wait for what ?
Never had the same issue with the Sedo.

When I asked them to cancel these deals they told me they cannot.

Any ideas ?

I pushed the domains to buyers account and I think today I'll call to the Godaddy and cancel it.

Sounds to me like its an issue with the country you live in.

There is no such issue for EU.
Also as I mantioned before I have nothing with the OFAC and found nothing here http://sdnsearch.ofac.treas.gov/ about me, my region, my bank.

So if the issue exists it is between the Escrow and their country, not me.
I've done the deals clear from my side and I have no time for wait something somewhen .
They took money, they took their interests and gave me nothing.

As I know escrow works different way.
But they decided to move their risks on me and told me - wait , instead of finding another way to complete their part of the deals.

No money, no domains, no time frame, nothing.
The best way I see for now is to cancel push requests and let the Escrow to explain all the things to the buyers.

Waiting for the Escrow.com coments here.

UP.

I have called to the Godaddy VIP Account Representative to inquire about the options I have in the current situation.
And they told me since the domains were accepted by another customers there is nothing they can do.

Need to discuss the issue with the Escrow.com .

Waiting for the Escrow.com coments here.

Do they have reason to think you live in Crimea or eastern Ukraine ?

Possibly.
Yes, it is Eastern Ukraine. But our Region, City and Bank are not in the list of sanctions .
Sanction list consists of South-East Regions of Ukraine.

These two regions are different .

The entire purpose of Escrow is to assure that you get either the money or the domain. They want to wait - if the deal fails so does their fee - but they should make clear to you that they will do their job. Checking the politics of payment is part of their job. That they have not yet assured you that you will get either the money or the domain within a fixed period of time worries me.

I pushed domains to the buyers and buyers accepted merchandises and closed the deals. I received Closing Statements on the 23d of September.

The Escrow.com gave me nothing.
No domains back.
No money.
No time frame.

A week ago they requested some additional information and I gave it.

Today is the 1st of October and still nothing.

I asked them to provide me some official documents.
Not a homemade blah blah blah...
OFAC documents , bank documents or anything else with a signature and a stamp.
Nothing.

No comments here from their side.

What is going on ?

Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot, they gave me Payment Details Report with Tranaction Status: Confirmed by Bank .

They gave me Payment Details Report on the 25th of September and the same day they notified me the bank had blocked transactions and requested additional information from me. I gave them all they asked for.

After that they are keeping silence.

Don't you think it is not ok ?

Per our discussions today and emails, we are working with you and providing the requested information to Bank of America so the funds can be released. It is not unusual for US Banks to require additional KYC information when transacting internationally. Thank you for your patience.
