Its a good name but not business oriented, which cuts down
reseller value.

Are you sure?

I thought this would be a good name considering how successful the genealogy.com and the smaller companies like it.

Alexa : Traffic Rank for genealogy.com: 1,691

OK it could be popular, but consider contender names
surnames.com surname.com enames.com familytree.com egeneology.com familyname.com Familytreemaker.com

Its primarily a free web information service, selling software is optional,
geneology isn't a bona fide business.

Take away ebay, even that's a new word not strictly an e-name and
how many e-name sites do you know?

Should be easy to find an end user on this one but reseller is a tough
market, yesterday SurfHire.com wouldn't sell for $100.

Good Luck!

Services offered by genealogy are not really free... Anything useful you might want has to be paid for by buying a membership. The "free" service is just a set-up to hook potential buyers who are looking for a free service.

Well, I know several domains with "e" at the front.
and there is also eflowers.com which was sold for $1mil.
The "e" at the beginning of the domain creates a more brandable name that creates an actual name fitting for a company

I think this domain name has alot of potential in the following 2 scenarios.

1. you find the right buyer, and you know they really want it.

2. you develop it yourself into a full business.
