facebook hits 200 million users - 50 million in 3 months!

I heard its 280 million this week 4-9-09, they claim 1 million join each day.
Soon they have tutorials on how to use the system or lose to another social network that do have tutorials.

50 million in 3 months that is like a small country online their is only 65 million people who live in the UK . Facebook.com shows use just how powerful a website can be i'm suprised a goverment of a country has not tryed to build somthing like this because you could controle a big % of the world's media, thats why china did try to buy youtube.com months ago and recently china blocked youtube.com according to world news http://www.reuters.com/article/internetNews/idUSTRE52N1VN20090324 sites of this size can be used to controle world media and media can be used as a wepon people believe what they read .

I can guarantee you a huge number of those will be fake accounts created by internet marketers who are attempting to abuse the free PPC credits you can get there for new accounts.
Twitter won't beat facebook by virtue of the fact that facebook provides its users with something to do, other than blindly sit their all day reading what other people ate and how they hate their mothers.
It is literally nothing other than the facebook status update that can be accessed by SMS.
