Hi guys,

Have you ever received an email like this from GD ?:

"Dear ....,

The following domain name has failed to be registered:

xxxxx.COM

Error: xxxxx.COM: cannot register - already registered

We will evaluate this error and retry the registration if appropriate.

If we are unable to successfully register the domain name, your account will be credited accordingly. Please allow one business day for the refund to be processed.

Please contact GoDaddy.com, Inc. if you need any further assistance:

Sincerely,

how has this happen ? any ideas ? Never had this before....

This happened to me once - on checkout Godaddy told me the .com version of my name was available, so I regged it. Next day I got the email above that it in fact wasn't.

Happened to me too.
GD Whois might be under maintenance now and then for a few hours.

that happend to me few days ago, i searched for two .coms and both were listed available... two days later i tried to register.. and failed.. both domains were registered in 2004...

I've got this too with domains already reged long ago.

If it's too good to be true, it usually is!

it happens with names that are you found to be available when you added them to the shopping cart, but were registered by someone else by the time you decided to make the payment. Usually happens when you leave something in your cart for days, but has happened to me once that someone regged a name a few seconds before me

thank you for all replies :)

it was actually the first time it happend to me,

buuuuu, such a good name (26m google results) :(
