My opinion on these branded names xxxguru.xxx, xxxforum.xxx xxxexpert.xxx ... is that you really need to own/have the .com - if the .com is taken you will just end up sending traffic to them. when it comes to using a .info there are many choices and this dilutes the value of such a domain as fashionguru.info. (obviously fashionguru.com has tremendous value and brandibility)

I have to agree.
in this case, you are only sending traffic to .com
UNLESS it is a powerful 1 word/term, .info (which I love BTW), will send traffic to the .com
There are exceptions to this, but they are few.
